I’m thinking about buying something incredibly fuel inefficient and wonderful.
I’m going to need a bigger budget than $2500 this time...

I was gonna say, no Decapodian physician can afford an FJ60.

I see lots of 80s around here. I have no need for an SUV, but if I ever do it's going to be an LC/LX/GX.

Not going to lie, a 100 series LC/LX isn’t coming off my short list of family haulers/work until prices go back up.
Which will be just after I buy one.

The mileage can't be that bad.

I’ve been thinking about doing the same thing lately...

A better investment might be some 250 gallon tanks and a whole bunch of fuel stabilizer.

Yes! Please do what I cannot achieve!

Door to door gas sales?
Dibs on wildcard.

Are you sure? I’ve been led to beleive it was gonna rise a bit. I have a vested interest as I work in Oil and Gas.

That’s what I hears too. It’s been inching up for several weeks now.

When it hits $60-65 a barrel it won’t be so miserable at our company. We are told it’ll happen by the end of the year.

My 80 only cost $2800...plus a radiator. And a thermostat. And a water pump. And some exhaust work. And it still doesn’t have a catalytic converter or reliable oxygen sensors. But I love it anyway.

Really? It’s back above $2 here.

I predict that prediction will turn out to be wrong. I predict that we already saw the bottom and fuel prices will be mostly flat this year.

I already drive something horribly inefficient on the daily.

12.5 MPG last tank. I hate a carb. Especially an electronically controlled malfunctioning electronic feedback lean burn model. I wish it was EFI. but it has 40K original miles and it cost $500. I can live with that.

my most fuel efficient vehicle gets 18 if I drive like an old lady. Lower gas prices just mean it no longer costs me $20 a day for the privilege of going to work.
